Catherine is a registered nurse and an independent travel health advisor. She gained an Honours degree in Geography from the University of Newcastle, UK, specializing in the developing world and in particular medical issues. She then went on to train as a nurse at St George’s Hospital, London. During her nursing career she has worked in the UK, Australia, Africa and The Middle East.
Her passion has always been travelling and throughout her career she has concentrated on Travel Health related Nursing. In 2006 she completed the Diploma in Travel Health from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.
She is also a member of the International Society of Travel Medicine. During her 4 years at Emirates Airline, Dubai, she set up a Travel Health Clinic for aircrew and families advising on Travel Health related issues. Catherine now works independently for Travel Health Nurse and as a freelance writer providing Travel Health articles for various magazines.
